Colour is not just a fashion factor, it changes the way we see things and process our feelings about them. Today we’re highlighting red and orange, two shades that signify much and have many hues to help you carry the message.

As a colour in nature, red attracts wildlife and signifies power, human civilisations also use red as a signal of power – buttons, stop signs, port lights - and psychologically, we are on alert when we see it.

In food, it is reported to be good for heart health in any shade, cherry, pomegranate, apple, strawberry, rhubarb, tomato, chilli, watermelon…..and of course, red is the colour associated with romance and Christmas.

Wearing red in its brightest forms is for the confident, and for those with a little less of it, there are shades and tones from pale pink through to earthy rusts.

The classic red, white and blue is one way to wear it that is not overpowering, but red goes with almost any colour; from classic stone chinos, greys and browns. The spectrum of reds in our collection is vast, one to suit all!

Orange may be something you said you’d never wear, but orange isn’t just the colour of the fruit. Rust is one of those shades, like teal, that can be worn by anyone, year round – it adds interest to a corporate style outfit and those lucky enough to have auburn or ginger hair, rock this shade better than any!
