The leaves have changed colour and Christmas decorations have started to appear in stores already – we’re just 6 weeks away from Christmas! We are based in way too sunny Malta, which means a very long, very hot summer, we, and definitely me, look forward to the time to get out the next season’s clothes, plan party outfits, and of course, top up my collection with everyday key buys.
Chic not geek
One of the items I am partial to, is the gilet. This is a great piece of clothing to take you from season to season; not just summer to autumn I might add. Now, just as the air starts to get a chill and the street lights come on before it’s time to take the dog for a walk, you can don one over a long sleeve t-shirt or rugby shirt for a super comfy layer or warmth.

Our range is showerproof but not shiny so are more chic than geek. They are easy to pack as they squash down – and are great for padding for around your gadgets, and don’t hold creases. Being machine washable, you can do whatever you need to do with them as looking after them is so easy.
On the styling side, you can also step up a bit and wear over a shirt or roll neck jumper, and under a suit jacket. This it quite a continental look and unzip the gilet to just above where your jacket closes and add a colourful scarf.

The wadding in our gilets is light and not at all bulky, so you won’t feel like the Michelin man if worn under a more fitted jacket. You can of course, wear over heavier jumpers and under your coat for a seriously cold day.
Wear in the same colour as your top or in a contrasting one; this season we have colours that you’ll wear year after year.
Jump in puddles when you can, I salute you, until next week.
